HARRISBURG, PA - The local law firm of Mette, Evans & Woodside was recently recognized for their generosity by the Capital Region Unit of the American Cancer Society as the Top Seller of daffodils among businesses in the tri-county area. The firm received a trophy to acknowledge the achievement of raising more than $3,000 during this year's Daffodil Days. Daffodil Days is an American Cancer Society fund raiser for money for cancer research, education, patient services and advocacy in hopes to increase awareness of cancer and the early detection of cancer. The Society recognizes the daffodil, not only as the first flower of spring, but also as the symbol of hope that cancer can be cured in our lifetime. "It was great to see the entire firm pull together in support of the American Cancer Society," said Kathleen Doyle Yaninek, an attorney in the firm and co-chair of the Capital Region Unit's Daffodil Days campaign. "It's amazing to think that Mette, Evans & Woodside sold more daffodils than large corporations like AMP, Rite Aid and Nationwide Insurance." The law firm consists of more than 30 skilled and innovative attorneys versed in a wide range of practice areas including taxation, real estate and land use planning, health care, commercial litigation, personal injury, defense litigation, and public utility and environmental law. The firm provides comprehensive legal services to domestic and multi-national clients, serving corporations, financial institutions, health care facilities, organizations and individuals. Mette, Evans & Woodside enters its fourth decade of excellence as legal counsel to the Central Pennsylvania community. For more information, please visit www.mette.com.
