By providing instant electronic payment options to unbanked and under-banked customers, AmeraCash Solutions, Inc. supports communities with alternative financial methods which allow customers to stay current with bill payments.

AmeraCash offers customers way to pay their bills with options such as walk in bill payment, paying by phone, in person, or by sending a check over the Internet. The services for businesses include turnkey collections with services for their customers such as phone cards, and prepaid wireless. These options make AmeraCash the most convenient bill payment service provider for customers, agents and billers alike.

iSend is an international payment company that allows migrant consumers in the United States to directly pay for good and services back in their home country. Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are the counties that are currently available.

Most major utility bills and wireless phone companies are available in each country. In addition, satellite and mortgage payments are available in Mexico, Brazil and Guatemala.

"We were able to come up with away to complement one another's services and provide a quick, efficient service that people will soon find is in high demand," Steven LaBella, iSend CEO said.

iSend and AmeraCash's first venture, International Express Pay officially launched at Adelita's Market on 344 West Marshall Street in Norristown on May 10, 2008.

However, 10 other locations* around the Philadelphia area now offer the service. On the opening weekend at Adelita's Market, International Express Pay was used by Philadelphia residents to post over 20 bill payment transactions.

"We set up International Express Pay at local community hot spots," Heller explained. "That way, the location was not only familiar to the consumer, but convenient. We hope that our service will attract business to these locations and will be mutually beneficial to our service and the store owners alike."

International Express Pay is set up at the counter of convenience stores. Store employees process consumer transactions.

During the launch event, representatives from iSend and AmeraCash spoke with Philadelphia locals on the service provided at their local convenience store, Adelita's Market.

"We spoke with nearly 100 people in a matter of two hours," Jorge Ayala, a representative from AmeraCash said. "Every person we spoke with was excited about the service and definitely sees the benefit in sending a direct payment to a biller in Mexico rather than money."

"Not to mention, our service operates at a fraction of the cost of wire services."

International Express Pay is not the typical wire service; it puts complete control of bill payments into the hands of the sender. Instead of simply sending money home and not knowing where the money will be spent, International Express Pay enables the sender to make a direct payment on bills in Mexico.

iSend and AmeraCash are affiliated with all major billers in Mexico which means consumers are able to pay a variety of bills directly. Biller affiliations in Mexico include Infonavit, Telmex, Spira, ADT, Movistar, Iuscall, CFE, Unefon, Telcel and Alestra.

AmeraCash and iSend officials have aggressive plans to expand International Express Pay locations throughout the country with the ability to make bill payments in countries including Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Jamaica. And as with Mexico, iSend will work diligently to create an array of partnerships with billers to give consumers a variety of bills they are able to directly pay from the U.S.

According to a study done by the Center for Immigrant Studies, in 2007, the U.S. immigrant population reached a record of 37.9 million and each year, roughly 1.5 immigrants arrive in the U.S.

Further, according to cellular-news.com, it is estimated that 150 million people regularly send remittances to relatives in their native countries. And just last year, Mexico received a record $20 billion in remittances from migrant workers.

"With the growing number of people coming to the United States but leaving their friends and families in their home country, we saw a dire need to provide a service so that these people could continue to provide for their families," said Steven LaBella, iSend CEO.

According to population estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau, more than one in 10 residents of Norristown, Pa. are of Hispanic decent, which is more than three times the Pennsylvania average.

International Express Pay is the quickest service of its kind. In many cases, the payment can be posted in Mexico in a matter of seconds while other payments reach Mexico in no more than 24 hours.
