Just an hour south of Pittsburgh, Hunter's state-of-the-art manufacturing plant is appropriately positioned to service the mid-western and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. "Expanding Hunter Panels' presence in this region of the country and the growth of the polyisocyanurate market as a whole are directly related," commented Nick Shears, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Carlisle SynTec Incorporated. "Hunter's growth can be attributed to the increasing need for energy conservation and environmentally intelligent building design. Construction of the Pennsylvania facility comes on the heels of the completion of Hunter's most recent plant in Utah - positioning Hunter as a national supplier of Polyiso." The western Pennsylvania plant will employ approximately 70 production staff, all working to help meet the ever-increasing need for energy-efficient polyisocyanurate insulation for the residential and commercial markets. "Pennsylvania is committed to the manufacturing industry - it is the driving force of our economy," said Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell. "The fact that Carlisle SynTec chose the commonwealth for the location of Hunter Panels' new facility confirms our appeal to leading manufacturers. I look forward to continuing the state's long, successful partnership with Carlisle SynTec." Hunter Panels produces a full line of rigid Polyiso roof insulation for use in commercial and residential buildings. Polyiso commands a large share of today's insulation market due to its superior energy saving qualities and broad range of applications. With additional manufacturing facilities in Kingston, New York; Franklin Park, Illinois; Lake City, Florida; Terrell, Texas; and Tooele, Utah, Hunter and its industry partners have been noted by the Environmental Protection Agency for their responsible and positive impact on climate change and the environment. Carlisle SynTec Incorporated, headquartered in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, has been manufacturing single-ply membrane roofing systems for more than 40 years. To date, Carlisle has produced over 10 billion square feet of roofing membrane. Carlisle is a business segment of Carlisle Companies Incorporated (NYSE: CSL) and has manufacturing facilities in Carlisle, Greenville, Illinois and Senatobia, Mississippi and will be opening another thermoplastic roof membrane plant in Tooele, Utah later this year.
