(Harrisburg, Pa.) - Ms. Pam DeLissio, CEO, PA Online, LTD., Central Pennsylvania's leading Internet Service Provider, has joined the Marketing Development Committee of The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, PA, according to James Nulton, Senior Vice President, PPL, and Chairman of the national museum's Board of Directors.

"Ms. DeLissio is a welcome addition to our professional Marketing Committee," Mr. Nulton said today. "She will serve on the Museum's Web Development Task Force, where her expertise and her firm, PA Online, LTD., will provide valuable assistance to the museum's web development moving forward."

Ms. DeLissio brings years of expertise in executive management experience in her role as CEO of PA Online, an Internet Service Provider with more than 12,000 subscribers throughout Pennsylvania.  She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science/Health Planning and Administration.

"Our goal is to create a major web presence for The National Civil War Museum," Ms. DeLissio said. "The task force envisions a global Civil War portal website -- a valuable resource to the general public, students, professional historians, the media, and anyone interested in this most important period of American history."

DeLissio also noted that The National Civil War Museum is an important anchor destination in Central Pennsylvania. "Our community is rich in history from the Civil War, to the Amish, the Steel Mills and Coal Mines, and the Museum provides a hub for millions of visitors who travel around the region each year."

The National Civil War Museum was founded in Harrisburg, PA, in 1971, as an establishment for "the increase and diffusion of knowledge about the American Civil War from the perspective of the South, the North, and African American history."

The museum, exhibit complex and grounds occupy acres of preserved green space overlooking the historic City of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania State Capital and the Susquehanna River.  It protects some the nation's treasures, including General Robert E. Lee's personal bible, and more than 24,000 artifacts, documents and photos, worth an estimated $20 million.  More than 450,000 people from around the world visited the museum, and there have been nearly 1 million virtual visits to www.nationalcivilwarmuseum.org.
