Working with the City of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania State University and Harrisburg Area Community College, HPA hosted more than 300 architecture students, professors, public officials, architects, engineers and builders at the Harrisburg Transportation Center. The event celebrated the new headquarters of the Harrisburg Urban Studio, initiating a design-build program which presents architecture students with a unique learning experience, while improving Harrisburg's disadvantaged communities. "The Harrisburg Urban Studio is an innovative program with the potential to invigorate the entire community," Robert Philbin, a founder of the Harrisburg Urban Studio said. "The concept of citizen architect re-establishes the architect as an important community leader."
